Hello Again......

Hi all,

I went to see Bon Jovi last night. It was a last minute decision to go......fooled around on ticketmaster and got great seats 2 days before the show. I saw them in 87' and they were great. They are not The Stones or Clapton or Bowie or U2 and they are certainly not The Who......but I do love them. I was always a big Richie Sambora fan even though Jon Bon is very cute. So!!!!
last night was a lot of fun. They were truly GREAT!!!!!! I was very happy to be there and it brought back being 28 which is how old I was when I first saw them. Richie cut his fingers while playing and was bleeding all over himself, his guitar and the stage. Jon made a big deal of it and asked him if he thought he was Pete Townshend???? All in all a great night of Rock and Roll.

going to see bonnie Raitt on Thursday, I invited my mom to go with me....a little mother/daughter bonding. I'll report back

Hello all,

I havn't blogged for awhile so I thought I was due. I'm having my bathrooms re-done and it is lots of work and inconvenience and the kitchen has not even been started. Talk about having your life turned upside down. The weather in NY has been spectacular, really warm and sunny but I know the big chill is coming. I finally purchased the Who dvd from Mansfield, a show that I attended. The quality is great and so was the show. It was a fun weekend, I think Simon also played a gig at The House of Blues the day before. I had never really traveled to see a Who show before not counting Live Aid because that was a global event, it was fun to do but the travel part was a bit of a pain in the ass. I don't know how some Who fans travel all over the place...the time...the money...yuk!!! So watching the Mansfield show was somewhat nostalgic. I was also given a bootleg dvd of the Camden show from 2000 which in my humble opinion was one of the best Who shows I ever attended and watching that was great and sad at the same time. I was in the front row and had a lot of contact with the band throughout the show, especially John and watching it made me a bit sad and very very nostalgic. Pete was on fire that night. I left the show being so blown away that they could still do what they did twenty years before that. speaking of 20 years ago.....the above pictures are from Madison Square Garden in 1979. It was Kenny's birthday and Pete and Roger decided a cake fight would be a grand idea. Everyone was covered in cake! I saw the whole thing beginning to happen and ran as far as I could and escaped the mess. I don't know if Pete or Roger has ever seen these photos.., John did,.there are lots more. I hope you enjoy them.

P.S. If you enlarge the photos there are some other familiar faces peeking around corners, Bill C, Jackie C, Bobby Pridden, Regis (the accountant) Kenny's wife whose name escapes me at the moment, and me.

I didn't take these photos, they were taken by a friend of John's who's name I don't recall.

CREAM!!!!!!!!

The concert last night was GREAT!!!! They played everything there was to play. I was very glad to be there although the song "I'm so glad" is a bit annoying and repetitve ha! The after "CREAM" event at BB Kings was alot of fun but it was freezing in there, they had the air conditioning way high and it was clod outside. I didn't stay til the end because it was already 1am and I had to work today. I'm really tired now....... I went with John, my fiance'....he and I are pictured above in Martha's Vineyard from this past summer. what a gorgeous place.......

Hi all,

I'm off to see Cream tonight and I'm tired but excited to see them. I wanted to go because I think it will be a bit of history and it's cool to be present at historical events. I was at" Live Aid" in England thanks to John Entwisle and also at "The Concert for NY", both events were incredible to attend. I also have never seen Clapton live which I can't believe. I was too busy attending Who shows!!!ha ha. Also tonight Godfrey Townsend who was John Entwiste's guitar player is hosting an after Cream party at BB Kings. Ginger Baker's son will be playing and you never know who will show up. Last year godfrey played there with Jack Bruce so maybe and who knows. It will be a very late night for me, something i used to do but hardly ever do anymore. I'll post something tomorrow.

MORE DOGGIE PICTURES

It's 7:30 pm and John just left for a meeting so i'm blogging rather than doing a thousand other things I could be doing. We are getting the backlash from the hurricane and it is raining cats and dogs. Which brings me to these pictures of my special ones. Twyla is still with me. She is a great dog but she is not Luka!!! They broke the mold with Luka. She was not really a dog, she was more of a person in a dog suit. Those of you who know what I mean will know exactly what I'm talking about and those who don't will just think i'm a bit touched in the head. I really like dogs more than I do most people which isn't hard.

XO all for tonight,
Gigi

I COULDN'T RESIST.........

It's a rainy cold day here in the big apple. I trained people all morning and I'm finally home. I was looking through my archives of pictures and couldn't resist putting these up. I think I was 18 that summer of 76' when these were taken. My ex- best friend and I traveled to London and visited Roger at his house. We had met him in NYC during the prior year. He was very gracious and very kind to us which we later heard....was not the case with other girls who showed up at his home. Years later I told him how nervous we had been and that we almost backed out because we thought he would yell at us and throw us off his property. Looking at these photos....I feel soooooo old!!!! Ah...to be young. The memories are great!!
